The Facts:
Romo underwent surgery on a herniated disc in December, missing the final game of the 2013 season. While Romo continues to ease into offseason workouts, he said if the season started today he could play. "I think earlier on, right after surgery, you kind of go through that mode of getting healthy -- kind of having to not do too much right away," Romo told the team's official website. "But now I'm to a point where you can push it and kind of go, and I feel like at this point I could play in a game if I had to."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As NFL.com suggests, with Brandon Weeden as the primary backup at this point (given Kyle Orton's situation is still in limbo), a healthy Romo is the Cowboys' best hope for any success in 2014. Romo said his goal is to be "100 percent on Day 1 of training camp" in July. As we've suggested before, fantasy football owners should expect Romo to be Romo this fall; and that means he'll continue to be a solid value play at his position.
