Eli Manning Says He Could Play Tomorrow
(6/10 9:38 PT)

The Facts:
Manning's rapid recovery from April ankle surgery doesn't surprise the Giants anymore, and Manning doesn't even think twice when it comes to the first surgery he's ever had. Once thought of as a scratch for OTA's, Manning hasn't missed one yet. On Monday Manning was confident enough to say he could play tomorrow if the season opener happened to be June 10. "Yeah, 100 percent, yeah," Manning said. "I don't think about it, I don't notice it. I go about practice and do everything and they're not even worried about it. It hasn't been an issue and there's no question I could play tomorrow." Reported by the Newark Star-Ledger

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Manning admitted to expediting the process. "Yeah, and in all the OTA's, I've taken all the reps that I would normally take." He had no choice but to master his new offense, and that means commanding the huddle every day. "Only seven practices, so no, we haven't gotten everything down. I'm not 100 percent on everything going on," Manning said. "There are still some learning curves and things I gotta digest and think through. But the more reps you get at, the more looks you get, the better you're getting. ..." Whether or not fantasy football owners can expect Manning to rebound from last year's dismal campaign or not remains to be seen. But he's clearly doing everything he can to turn things around.
