The Facts:
The first major surgery of Manning's career cost him a grand total of, wait for it ... zero practices. Manning was on the field Wednesday for the Giants' first OTAs workout of the year almost seven weeks after surgery on the left ankle he injured in the season finale against the Washington Redskins. He was supposed to need 6-8 weeks before he could begin running
following the April 10 procedure.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Giants' starting quarterback "took quite a few snaps" and many of the first-team reps, according to the team's website. Ryan Nassib, Josh Freeman and Curtis Painter worked behind him in the QB rotation. It was originally believed that Manning would sit out most -- if not all -- of OTAs and mini-camp, and that he would be back for training camp in the summer. GM Jerry Reese even said he's "going to be out of spring ball" at the beginning of this month. Four weeks later, Manning is way ahead of schedule and practicing with his new teammates as they learn and install a new offense under first-time coordinator Ben McAdoo. Definitely good news for fantasy football owners hoping Manning and the skill players around him can rebound this fall.
