previous item. ... Less than a week after being waived by the Cardinals, Williams looks to have landed another NFL job. Via Twitter, Williams said Saturday he would be joining the Cowboys, who reportedly worked him out today.

A second-round pick of the Cardinals in 2011, the 5-foot-9, 207-pound Williams rushed for 164 yards on 58 carries in his three-season stint with Arizona, with all of the work coming in five games in 2012. He missed his entire rookie season of 2011 after a patellar tendon tear, then had a shoulder injury end his 2012 season. He did not appear in a game for Arizona in the 2013 regular season. In Dallas, Williams could compete for reserve reps with Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar behind starter DeMarco Murray.
