The drafting of Austin Seferian-Jenkins and signing of Brandon Myers to go alongside Timothy Wright -- who showed promise as a receiving weapon in 2013 -- signaled the end for Crabtree in Tampa. "As far as Tom is concerned, we have some numbers at tight end, and it wasn't really looking good for him," HC Lovie Smith said Saturday, per SportsTalkFlorida.com. "So whenever I see that maybe it's not going to work out for a veteran, I want to give him the opportunity to get on with someone else. ..." Crabtree played in just seven games last season while battling an ankle injury and later a biceps tear, which ended his season. Crabtree had four receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown in his one season with the Bucs.
