The Facts:

previous item. ... It was all about the glove for Bridgewater, the new franchise QB of the Vikings. Without it, the highly touted Louisville QB was an absolute mess during his pro day workout, firing passes into the turf and failing to develop a rhythm during a scripted throwing session without a single defender in his face. The Vikings, however, did not buy into the downfall. Minnesota privately worked him out in April with OC Norv Turner in Bridgewater's home state of Florida. This time the right-hander wore a glove. And this time he improved his draft stock instead of torpedoing it.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Vikings traded a pair of picks to Seattle on Thursday to move back into the first round and select Bridgewater with the 32nd and final pick of the opening night of the NFL draft. "I just felt comfortable being around the coaching staff and having the opportunity to showcase my talents," Bridgewater said about his Vikings workout. "I just had a great day overall. Coach Turner was coaching me up as I was going through the first series. I was just able to take that great coaching and apply it to the field. ..." The rookie will compete with Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel, although GM Rick Spielman said there is no timetable for Bridgewater's development. "That'll be up to the coaches," Bridgewater said. Fantasy football owners shouldn't be surprised if the decision goes his way. "Norv really liked Bridgewater," said HC Mike Zimmer. "We wouldn't have moved up for just anybody."
