NFL.com reporter Steve Wyche reported earlier that Saints owner Tom Benson and head coach Sean Payton met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and league security in New York on Monday regarding the ongoing investigation, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. ... It remains to be seen is whether or not any suspensions handed to Payton and "bounty" system initiator Gregg Williams for a period of games will include the offseason, or will they be served only in the season during the actual time those games are played, but would allow them to take part in OTAs, training camp, etc. ...
