Sources told Sun-Sentinel staffer Omar Kelly that former Packers HC and current Texas A&M HC Mike Sherman is the front runner to serve as his offensive coordinator if Sherman doesn’t land the Buccaneers HC job. And even though Philbin’s aware members of Green Bay’s staff is “off limits,” that doesn’t mean one or two lower level assistants won’t join him in Miami. The Packers won’t stand in the way of someone having the level of their job “significantly increased,” especially if a similar opportunity doesn’t exist within their organization. Otherwise, Philbin will have to use his league-wide connections, and reputation to build his new staff without raiding his old one.
