As previously noted, Calvin Johnson (Achilles) and Kevin Smith (knee, ankle) were among those taking part in today's practice. In Johnson's case, the double coverage he has faced this season has taken a toll on his body. By limiting his practice workload, the Lions are doing their best to ensure he’s at full strength Saturday night. Smith overcame Wednesday's practice collision with TE Tony Scheffler to hit the field today; the RB claims he's at full speed.
