The Facts:
Roethlisberger suffered a high ankle sprain against Cleveland on Dec. 8 and was still hobbled by the injury against the 49ers last night. Roethlisberger threw for 330 yards, but was intercepted three times and sacked three other times. HC Mike Tomlin did not say whether Roethlisberger will play Saturday against the Rams.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Tomlin defended leaving a banged-up Roethlisberger in the game late in the fourth quarter Monday night after the outcome had already been decided at his weekly news conference today. "He and I have been in that situation before," Tomlin said. "I know what kind of competitor he is. I wanted to support him in that. ..." In other news, Tomlin said that RB Mewelde Moore suffered a MCL sprain and won't play against the Rams while Rashard Mendenhall (ribs) will likely be fine.
