Goodell had a fast response tonight during an NFL Network interview when asked about how rapidly he would return to the bargaining table if the players' union wanted to get back to talks. "I couldn’t get off this show fast enough to get to the mediation,” Goodell said. “We didn’t push away from the table. We were still at the table when they walked out of mediation. For us to get back to mediation, you call me, I’ll be there. It’s a decision the mediator would have to make. But we would certainly be there, and I expect we will be there. ...” Goodell acknowledged that there hasn't been much dialogue since this labor dispute entered the litigation phase. There's an April 6 hearing for the players' motion for an injunction to end the lockout. It remains to be seen if the two sides talk in the interim.
