With five minutes remaining and the game well in hand, there's no real reason for Gates, who is playing with a torn plantar fascia on his right foot and a turf toe on his left, to keep pressing. Assuming he doesn't return, Gates will have finished with four catches for 46 yards. Not bad production for a guy playing in intense pain.
