Nugent is a former New York Jets second-round draft pick from Ohio State. He's slated to compete with Dave Rayner. Nugent was briefly with the Arizona Cardinals last season, but was released when Neil Rackers' groin healed. He worked out for the Baltimore Ravens last season, but they opted instead for Blly Cundiff. Nugent averaged 102 points per season in his first three years with the Jets. For his career, he has converted 79 of 100 on field goals (79.0 percent) and 97 for 99 extra points.
