Apparently owner Jerry Jones, who passed on Randy Moss in the 1998 draft, wasn't going to let another talented receiver with character issues slip through his hands -- especially with Roy Williams failing to emerge as the kind of threat expected. ... According to his
NFL.com scouting report, the 6-2, 225-pound Bryant is an extremely talented receiver that has legitimate downfield speed as well as the ability to adjust to off-target throws -- both characteristics that Williams no longer seems to possess. Given all that, and the fact Jones traded up to secure his services, Bryant could become a key contributor early in his rookie season.
