Jackson's team is 1-13 and he's got a back injury that has prevented him from practicing for the past month. Friends and family want him to stop and recuperate for next season, but Jackson is having none of it. "(Shutting it down) has been whispered in my ear, and that's from people on my side looking out for what's best for my future, but I love to play," he said. "I only have two more games to play this season. I'm just going to gut it out.'

As Yahoo's Doug Farrar suggested, "it's easy, and even understandable, for players on horrible teams to gear it down as the season comes to a close.
