The Facts:
The Bills benched QB Ryan Fitzpatrick in favor of dwards during Sunday’s home game against the Patriots, but it was a short-lived change. On his fourth play after replacing Fitzpatrick, Edwards was injured while he was sacked by Patriots LB Tully Banta-Cain. Edwards had his right ankle caught underneath Banta-Cain as he attempted to throw.

Trainers checked on Edwards’ right ankle on the bench, and he later was carted off the sideline with team personnel. He was ruled out for the rest of the game. With Edwards unable to go, Fitzpatrick went back into the game for the Bills. The team’s No. 3 QB is Brian Brohm, who was signed before Week 11 off the Packers’ practice squad.
