The Facts:
According to PewterReport.com, the Bucs have extended OC Greg Olson's contract by at least a year. Previously, Olseon was signed through 2009. Per the report, he is under contract through at least 2010.

The move comes a day after HC Raheem Morris essentially fired DC Jim Bates by assuming the role himself. So, as PFT's Mike Florio suggests, Olson's extension could be aimed at creating some sense of stability for a coaching staff that some might perceive as coming apart at the seams. The extension of Olson also suggests that Morris isn't in any real jeopardy of being one-and-done on the job.
