The chest injury that sent Johnson to the hospital didn't break any of his ribs. Instead, it bypassed the bones and went straight to one of the organs they protect. HC Gary Kubiak said Monday that Johnson has a lung contusion.

He's regarded as day-to-day, and Kubiak wouldn't commit to Johnson being available for the team's next game. "Hopefully, he'll be ready to go against Buffalo," Kubiak said. Stay tuned. Johnson's status is obviously something we'll follow closely in coming days.
