Reid's agent, Bob LaMonte wouldn't directly confirm that negotiations have begun, but he did tell ESPN's Sal Palontonio "There is no timetable" -- which seems to imply something is going on. ... Reid is in his 11th season and his contract expires at the end of the 2010 season. So if the Eagles are going to work out a contract, "now would be the time to do it, because Andy does not want to be a lame duck in 2010," a source with knowledge of the discussions between Reid and the Eagles told Paolantonio. Asked if Reid wanted to stay on long-term as Eagles head coach, LaMonte replied "yes." On Sunday, Reid goes for his 100th win when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit Lincoln Financial Field.
