For instance, Favre estimated that he threw 200 balls at his first practice with the New York Jets last year, in front of about 10,000 fans. "By his own admission, he probably threw 200 balls in the Jets first day of practice and probably set himself back, with the fans and the crowd," Childress said. "Trying to show off, a little bit. ..." Favre threw dozens of passes in his first practice with the Vikings on Tuesday, which was closed to the public.
