Report: Brett Favre Has Had Surgery
(6/7 2:49 PT)

The Facts:
Favre's determination to play this season for the Vikings prompted him to undergo arthroscopic surgery to repair his injured passing shoulder recently, according to two sources. However, Favre remains unable to make a commitment because subsequent throwing sessions indicate the shoulder is not yet 100 percent. Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As ESPN insider Chris Mortensen suggests, Favre clearly wants to come out of retirement for a 19th season in the NFL but it seems equally obvious that he won't return unless the shoulder that slowed him late last season won't be an issue. Per Mort, Favre has thrown on a limited basis since the surgery, which occurred last month, but has not felt close to "100 percent" and would not come back unless he makes significant progress. ... That might explain the recent silence on the Favre front. Whatever the case, we'll continue to follow up as developments warrant.
