The Facts:
Oliver Brown of the [London] Telegraph reports representatives from the Mayor of London's office and Visit London, the city's official visitor organisation, has received assurances from the NFL that, after two sell-out regular-season games at Wembley Stadium and a third scheduled for Oct 25, there is a commitment to bring the championship game to the capital in 2014.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell deflected initial rumors of the Super Bowl relocating to London last week by saying that the option had not been explored. But the Telegraph reports this is believed to have been a ploy to persuade the league's franchise owners that any such move would not be rushed -- the game has always been staged in a franchise-owned venue. An NFL spokesman told the Telegraph: "The suggestions about London are only theoretical. There is no bid document. ..." If there is, we suggest the NFL prepare for some fan backlash.
