The signing will lessen the need for the Jaguars to use the No. 8 pick in Saturday's draft on a receiver, although the club could still decide to go in that direction because of the lack of depth and -- as suggested in
this week's Fantasy Notebook -- play-making capability at the position. It remains to be seen if Holt can reestablish himself as a true No. 1 receiver, but he's the closest thing the Jags have had to that since Jimmy Smith retired in 2006.
