The Facts:
Following up on
an ongoing story. ... Harrison's 13-year, record-setting run in Indianapolis appears all but over -- but not before a last-minute negotiating attempt today by Jim Irsay. The Colts owner insisted late Monday that Tom Condon, Harrison's agent, was "premature" earlier in the day when he said the Colts had agreed to release their veteran receiver.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Condon said Harrison had requested the release after declining the Colts' attempt to restructure his contract. "Marvin and I are talking (today) at mid-afternoon and we'll see where we go from there," Irsay said. "I'm not going to start talking like he's not here, because nothing's been determined officially by any stretch.' Asked if it still were possible for Harrison to remain with the Colts, Irsay replied, "Definitely. ..." Remember: The Colts are facing significant salary-cap issues heading into 2009. Harrison is due a $9 million base salary and will count $13.4 million against the NFL's projected cap of $123 million and his reported reluctance to take a pay cut has been a major issue.
