Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to NFL Network insider Adam Schefter, the league stepped in because the contract violated the Rooney Rule over hiring practices, and now the team is reworking the deal and will re-submit it to the league. Haslett was named the Rams’ coach on Sept. 29 after the team got off to an 0-4 start under Scott Linehan. Meanwhile, Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio suggests the ruling could work in Haslett's favor should other jobs open up after the season by allowing him to field multiple offers -- assuming the Rams continue to play well.
