The Facts:
Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com reports that 49ers coach Mike Nolan has been fired. Not next week. Now. Right now.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
ESPN is now reporting the same. ... As PFT's Mike Florio suggests, it makes sense. With word out that the move was coming next week, it made no sense to let Nolan twist in the wind. And Nolan doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would patiently await word once he learned of it. ... Meanwhile, San Francisco Chronicle staffer David White sugggests the firing of Nolan isn't farfetched; the hiring of Mike Singeltary is. White contends the 49ers don't need another defensive coach, that's why hiring Mike Martz on a interim basis would make more sense. If the 49ers want to keep the same offensive system, they might have to hire Martz. If not, he might go else where and then the 49ers are back to hiring their seventh offensive coordinator in seven seasons.
