The Facts:
Leonard suffered a subluxation — a partial dislocation — of his shoulder against the Washington Redskins on Sunday and was placed on IR Monday. "He'll be out the remainder of the season, and hopefully get surgery here in the next couple of weeks," HC Jim Haslett said.

Haslett said the Rams’ medical staff opted for Leonard to have surgery rather than trying to continue playing with the injury. With Leonard out and Antonio Pittman still a week or two away from returning from an injury to his lower leg, the Rams are down to two healthy halfbacks -- starter Steven Jackson and Travis Minor. Haslett said the Rams are considering signing a running back off another team’s practice squad, but he refused to reveal the name of that player until the transaction is consummated.
