The Facts:
Manning missed training camp and the preseason after having knee surgery. But it turns out he actually had two knee surgeries. During the CBS broadcast of the Colts’ game today, Phil Simms and Jim Nantz reported that Manning told them that an infection set in after the first surgery. As a result, he needed a second surgery.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The report confirms something SI.com and NFL Network analyst Mike Lombardi
reported on the National Football Post in August. Manning told Simms and Nantz that he needed 80 stitches in his knee after the surgeries, but that he now feels healthy again. It certainly looked that way with today's three-TD effort against the Ravens.
