Branch suffered a foot injury in the first half, and he won't return in the second half.

It appeared the injury occurred on the pass Matt Hasselbeck intended for Branch in the end zone. The play was nullified by a penalty against the Giants defense. Branch came over to the sideline and looked at his foot; it was re-taped but the team has decided to keep him out.
