The Facts:
Just received information that confirms ESPN's Chris Mortensen's earlier report that Smith has a fracture in his throwing shoulder. Smith apparently felt a pain at the end of Friday's practice that led to him receiving an MRI. The MRI revealed the fracture.

According to Bee staffer Matt Barrows, it's entirely possible that the repetitive stress of throwing a football has resulted in one of Smith's reattached ligaments tearing a piece of bone from the shoulder. Stay tuned. More to come on this one.
