Nugent left Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins in the first quarter with a thigh injury, temporarily leaving New York without a kicker on the roster until he returned in the second half. Reported by the Associated Press

Nugent appeared to suffer the injury on a kickoff in the first quarter, limping off the field after a short kick. He attempted a 32-yard field goal later in the quarter but missed wide right, again favoring the injury as he went to the sideline. Nugent returned for the extra point and the ensuing kickoff after a Jets touchdown in the third quarter to put New York ahead 20-7.
