The Facts:
Simms arrived in Baltimore today to meet with the Ravens about a prospective backup opportunity. Simms was cut by the Buccaneers on Saturday after requesting that he be traded or released during the offseason.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Times staffer Aaron Wilson, no deal is imminent, but the sides are talking and it's believed that this could potentially be a good fit given the Ravens' thin quarterback situation because Kyle Boller (partially torn labrum in his throwing shoulder) and Troy Smith (tonsil infection) are sidelined indefinitely. Rookie first-round pick Joe Flacco is the lone healthy quarterback on the active roster and is preparing to potentially start Sunday's season-opener against the Bengals. Other teams reported to have varying degree of interest in Simms includes the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys.
