The Facts:
Less than 24 hours after Jackson softened his stance, the Rams held up their end of the bargain. The Rams signed Jackson to a new six-year contract Thursday morning, one day after the star running back ended his 27-day holdout and reported to St. Louis. Financial terms were not immediately disclosed, but Jackson likely received a deal that will make him one of the highest-paid players at his position.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
After passing his morning physical, Jackson participated in the Rams' practice on Thursday morning "I was never ever ever in doubt that this would get done," head coach Scott Linehan said. "The timing now is very good for incorporation in the upcoming weeks for the opener. ..." Jackson will not play in Saturday's exhibition game against the Ravens and likely will miss the pre-season finale against Kansas City the following weekend. But Linehan seemed confident that Jackson would be ready for the Rams' season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 7. We are too.
