NFL Network reporter Scott Hansen, live at the Packers practice facility, is advising viewers that Favre has left the team's headquarters while the team's other three quarterbacks were on the field warming up for today's lone practice.

His departure comes as no real surprise since Favre told ESPN's Chris Mortensen earlier today that he wouldn't practice and that he couldn't see how the two sides could remain together. ESPN's Wendi Nix is reporting that Favre suggested he'll be meeting with GM Ted Thompson later in the day -- perhaps in hopes of helping the team trade him. NFL Network insider Adam Schefter reports that the Packers have been in contact with the Buccaneers regarding a trade in the last two days. Schefter added that the Jets haven't warmed up to the notion of a trade for Favre while the Vikings haven't even discussed it (perhaps hoping Favre is released outright). ... Whatever the case, today's developments make it clear that the ongoing issues between Favre and the Packers are no closer to being resolved than they were on July 11, when Favre first put out the word he might have the "itch" to return. ...
