Even though he was an undrafted free agent last season and has never rushed for 1,000 yards, Young's goal is to become only the sixth 2,000-yard rusher. "People call me crazy," Young said. "I got a lot of laughs, too, but I really think it's in me. And it seems like [the Broncos] want to do a lot more things with me."

Well. ... The Broncos plan to use Young in more ways this season, but he won't necessarily get the ball more. HC Mike Shanahan said earlier this off-season that he sees Young as 10-to-15-touches-a-game back. "Selvin played very well when he played," the coach explained. "He will wear down. He's not a big guy." Nonetheless, Young believes he can beat out Travis Henry for the starting job; he believes, too, that he can be an every-down back, holding up under the strain of 20, 25 or even occasionally 30 touches a game. ... Don't bet your team's success on it.
