More On Plaxico Burress; Giants Optimistic
(2/1 3:51 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... Burress went down on the injury report as "did not practice" although ESPN's John Clayton reports the veteran WR tried to do some things in the individual portion of Friday's 80-minute practice. Burress stretched and loosened up with his teammates. For the first time since arriving in Phoenix, Burress ran a few routes in drills to test out his legs. "He's improved," HC Tom Coughlin said. "He's done it all year under all kinds of circumstances. We've just got to be hopeful he can do it one more time."  Reported by FootballDiehards.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Clayton, then NFC pool reporter, went on to note the fact Burress was on the field instead of in the training room Friday gives the Giants optimism he could be able to play. Burress has been dealing with his ankle problems all season. His left knee has had problems off and on this year. ... Again, the odds Burress won't be on the field when New York's offense takes the field this Sunday are miniscule; the only question might be how effective can he be with limited practice? We'll remind you he's been reasonably productive under similar circumstances most of the regular season.
