The Facts:
The NFL Players Association wants a quick hearing on Steve McNair's grievance against the Titans. The union had the option to request an expedited hearing to be held within 10 days after the Titans
answered the grievance, in which McNair claims the team breached his contract when it
barred him from working out on team property.

A quick ruling could result in a more timely resolution of the bigger issue -- McNair's contract. Talks are at a standstill and many observers openly question whether he'll ever play for the team again. If that's the case, the sooner they separate the better off all involved will be. ... It should be noted, however, the hearing will depend on the arbitrator's schedule and that a date might not be available for three weeks.
