Report: Marshawn Lynch Expected To Skip Mandatory Mini-Camp
(6/12 12:56 PT)

The Facts:
When the Seahawks convene for mandatory mini-camp next week, the team doesn't expect Lynch to be there, according to sources familiar with the team's thinking. Reported by Yahoo! Sports

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Yahoo's Rand Getlin notes, Lynch, who skipped the team's visit to the White House in May and reportedly hasn't appeared at any of the team's voluntary organized team activities thus far, is thought to be unhappy with his contract, though it's not clear if that is the only football-related reason the running back is considering skipping or reporting late to mini-camp. Entering the third year of a four-year deal the running back signed with the Seahawks in 2012, Lynch is set to earn a base salary of $5 million this year and $5.5 million next. Lynch skipping OTAs wasn't a surprise, as the running back missed some offseason sessions last year, but this would be the first time Lynch has skipped a mandatory minicamp since entering the league as the 12th overall pick of the Buffalo Bills in the 2007 draft. Under the new CBA, if Lynch skips all three days of mini-camp, he could be subject to a $69,455 fine. Putting himself in line for that kind of fine would make this issue of some concern to fantasy football owners. We'll be watching this one closely.
