The Facts:
Whatever job security Ingram might have enjoyed in his first three seasons with the Saints is significantly reduced. Much like most of the five running backs on the Saints roster who entered the league as undrafted free agents, the first-round 2011 NFL draft pick is assured of nothing beyond this season. "It's motivation," Ingram said about being in the final season of his four-year rookie contract. "I'm coming up on a contract year. I'm an unrestricted free agent after this year, so we'll see what happens."

As Times-Picayune staffer Christopher Dabe reminded readers, the Saints put Ingram in that position when they
declined to pick up the fifth-year team option. All rookie contracts since 2011 are automatically four years, but teams can decide after the third season to pick up a fifth-year option. Ingram rushed for 1,462 yards and 11 touchdowns in his first three seasons. A toe injury limited him for the early part of 2013. He rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries to help the Saints beat the Dallas Cowboys 49-17 on Nov. 10. He also ended the season with solid games at Carolina (13 carries, 83 yards) and in the playoffs at Philadelphia (18 carries, 97 yards, one touchdown). Given his lower-end ADP (he's currently 50 among all RBs on MyFantasyLeague.com), value is possible.
