legal proceedings are now behind Rice as he was accepted into a diversionary pre-trial intervention program this week that allows him to avoid trial and jail time. Once Rice completes the program, the court would dismiss the third-degree charge of aggravated assault. Rice and his wife have attended counseling since the incident, and the Ravens have praised him for the steps he has taken to rectify the situation. The NFL and the Ravens have waited for the legal proceedings to finish before handing down any punishment. Now we'll hear what Rice has to say for himself -- and perhaps get a feel for the approach he'll be taking with the league office in advance of possible punishment.
