Ray Rice's Arraignment Pushed Back To Thursday
(4/28 9:22 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... An arraignment conference in Rice's felony aggravated assault case is set for Thursday morning at Atlantic County Superior Court, according to a court spokesperson. The arraignment, which is set for 8:45 a.m., was originally scheduled for April 28 and was pushed back due to the judge's court docket, according to a criminal division clerk.  Reported by the Baltimore Sun

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Rice and, Janay Palmer, whom he married in March, got into a physical altercation on Feb. 15 at a New Jersey casino. As the Sun notes, should Rice be convicted of aggravated assault, Rice could face jail time. However, as a first-time offender, Rice could potentially avoid that outcome through a diversionary program. Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti and HC John Harbaugh have both said that Rice will remain with the team. The NFL is monitoring the legal developments in Rice's case, and a suspension and/or a fine are potential punishments. Fantasy football owners will want to watch for more on that last angle as we move forward.
