This in the wake of reports the team had made him an offer earlier today -- and that the Raiders were going to retain Darren McFadden. Seems likely the two events are connected. Jennings, who led the Raiders with 733 yards rushing and averaged 4.5 yards per carry, was one of the pleasant surprises and a necessary one, given McFadden's lack of production and propensity for injury. Not surprisingly, lack of consistent production and injuries are also issues for the Giants' backfield. We'll see if Jennings can fix that.
