The nature of Griffin’s injury is not clear. He left Sunday’s 45-21 loss in Denver in the fourth quarter after 335-pound defensive tackle Terrance Knighton pile-drived him into the ground. Griffin immediately began clutching his left knee. He had two ligaments and the meniscus repaired in his right knee in January. “I think it just scared me,” Griffin said after the game. “After I got up and the doc checked me, I was fine and ready to go back in to the game.” Shanahan said on Monday that Griffin should be good to go on Wednesday, the team's first practice in preparation for Sunday's home game against the Chargers.
