Robert Griffin III Is Sore But Should Practice This Week
(10/28 5:2 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on the ongoing story. ... Griffin’s left knee is sore and he’s expected to undergo some rehab this week, but he’s not expected to miss any practice time, according to HC Mike Shanahan. “In talking to [team doctor] Chris [Annunziata] this morning. ... The knee is fine,” Shanahan said. “A little bit sore right now. That’s about it.”  Reported by CSNWashington.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The nature of Griffin’s injury is not clear. He left Sunday’s 45-21 loss in Denver in the fourth quarter after 335-pound defensive tackle Terrance Knighton pile-drived him into the ground. Griffin immediately began clutching his left knee. He had two ligaments and the meniscus repaired in his right knee in January. “I think it just scared me,” Griffin said after the game. “After I got up and the doc checked me, I was fine and ready to go back in to the game.” Shanahan said on Monday that Griffin should be good to go on Wednesday, the team's first practice in preparation for Sunday's home game against the Chargers.
