After having the entire offseason to talk to Wayne and not doing so, the Colts have chosen to begin discussions with Wayne now that he has hit free agency.

This can't be sitting well with him, but it's also true that he wants to play somewhere in the NFL in 2012. Our guess is he'll be very open to other offers as this process plays out. We do know that he won't necessarily wait for Peyton Manning to sign before choosing where he'll go in spite of all the talk about those two possibly being a combination deal to whoever does sign Manning.
