The word was that they needed defensive line depth, and they promoted DE Alex Silvestro to great public outcry. Now, Underwood will be back. Underwood, who caught only three passes for 30 yards, became a sympathetic figure with the release,
considering the cruel timing. He handled things with class, saying he understood and that he’d use it as motivation.
