Jerry Jones: Power Sets DeMarco Murray Apart
(1/26 2:57 PT)

The Facts:
Jerry Jones has been very candid this week at the Senior Bowl in discussing his team’s shortcomings, his team’s prospects for the immediate future and so forth. So it’s refreshing, though not incredibly surprising, that he recently opened up about what sets Murray apart from Felix Jones. According to Jerry Jones, the toughness the team saw from Murray during last year’s Senior Bowl is what allowed Murray to take over the starting role last season. Reported by nbcdfw.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
“He’s just harder to bring down than Felix,” Jones said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Felix has the quickness, the vision and can get outside. But Murray did bring that dimension of power, and there’s probably not five pounds’ worth of difference between the two. But he finishes. He’s just so powerful into the finish. And there’s no question that he really gave us a lift last year. ..." Murray, a third round pick last year, took over the starting role from Jones while Jones was injured. Murray himself was then injured, just a couple hundred yards away from the franchise record for rushing yards by a rookie, in week 14. ... Look for Murray to open 2012 as the primary back with Felix Jones playing a complementary role.
