The former number one draft pick threw for 17 touchdowns and only five interceptions this season prompting the team to make it clear they'd like him to return next season. San Francisco picked Colin Kaepernick in the second round of last year's draft, but Smith has done everything asked of him this year: Primarily he's avoided turnovers. It'll be interesting to see if that's enough in today's Divisional Playoff game against the Saints.
