According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, HC Pete Carroll said Seahawks will place Rice on injured reserve today.

The move will officially end Rice's first season in Seattle. ... Rice suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Redskins. It was the second concussion he's suffered in three games. Rice has played the last eight games after missing the first two games because of a shoulder injury. He ranks second on the team with 32 catches. He will be replaced in the lineup by Ben Obomanu. Golden Tate will also get more playing time.
