The Titans officially placed Kenny Britt on IR to clear a roster spot for Avery's arrivial. He'll open as the team's fifth WR behind Nate Washington, Damian Williams, Lavelle Hawkins and Marc Mariani. With Mariani working primarily as a return man, Avery should move up in the rotation quickly. Avery, who battled knee injuries during his time in St. Louis, is known for his speed -- it's a characteristic the Titans can use.
