Giants president John Mara told reporters a short time ago that Tom Coughlin will be back as head coach next year, and would have been even with a loss today.

Mara says there was never any doubt, he told Coughlin not to "listen to the nonsense" and that he was safe last week. ... So one coach is officially off the hot seat. Those who enjoy that kind of thing, however, should relax. There will be plenty of changes. Just not in New York.
